Who You Are is What You Tell: Effects of Perspectives on Virtual Reality Story Experiences
SIGGRAPH Asia XR
VR stories are immersive, but it is hard to make a viewer experience them as the creator intended. This work investigates how the design of a VR environment — the character the viewer inhabits, the interactive objects available, and what draws their attention — shapes how a story is perceived. The aim is to find affordances that gently guide viewers toward the intended experience without explicitly directing them.
