TeachAR: An Interactive Augmented Reality Tool for Teaching Basic English to Non-Native Children
ISMAR Adjunct
Teaching English to children from non-English-speaking backgrounds is a persistent challenge. This paper presents TeachAR, an augmented-reality tool for teaching basic English words — colors, shapes, and prepositions — and compares it with a traditional non-AR approach in a pilot study. Results indicated potentially better learning outcomes and clear enjoyment with TeachAR, alongside some usability issues the authors plan to address.
