PhysioCHI: Towards Best Practices for Integrating Physiological Signals in HCI

As physiological signals become common in interactive systems, HCI researchers face interdisciplinary hurdles — from understanding bodily functions to design, ethics, and open science — and much of the work happens in isolation. This workshop brings researchers together to discuss best practices for embedding signals like heart rate and brain activity into interactive systems responsibly and effectively. The goal is a shared guiding document that keeps physiological HCI research grounded in common principles as the field grows.
