This research investigates how sharing gaze in both directions between a local worker and a remote helper affects augmented video conferencing, where one user shares their headset-camera view of a real-world task. The authors built a prototype that shares both users' eye gaze and ran a user study. Preliminary results showed that sharing gaze significantly improves awareness of each other's focus, and with it, collaboration.
