In augmented video conferencing, a local worker wearing a headset and camera shares their view with a remote helper, but the effect of sharing gaze had barely been studied. Using a prototype that shares both users' eye gaze, this study compared four conditions varying which directions of gaze were shared, during a real-world task. Sharing each other's gaze in both directions significantly improved collaboration and communication.
