SIGGRAPH ASIA Mobile Graphics and Interactive Applications

This demonstration presents an AR/VR pillar — a four-sided showcase created from a pillar in a public venue — as a novel way to show immersive content in public. It featured a 'Boatbuilders of Pangkor' cultural-heritage theme, with tablets and mobile AR headsets offering AR videos, maps, images, and text alongside 360° VR of reconstructed subjects and remote locations. A miniature version of the pillar is used for the hands-on demonstration.
