Mobile devices commonly show maps of the surroundings with embedded points of interest, but off-screen or occluded points are hard to display. This work designs and implements space-distorting visualisations — well studied in information visualisation but new to mixed reality — that bend the view so those points can be explored in the user's current context. Informal user feedback drove several iterations, and the authors share their results to encourage further exploration of the technique in AR.
