CoVAR is a system for remote collaboration that connects an AR user and a VR user by sharing a 3D reconstruction of the AR user's environment. To make this cross-platform collaboration natural, it supports eye-gaze and hand-gesture input, remote embodiment through avatar heads and hands, and awareness cues such as field-of-view and gaze. The paper details its architecture, setup and calibration, input methods, and the features that enhance collaboration.
