'Auslan Alexa': A case study of VR Wizard of Oz prototyping for requirements elicitation with Deaf participants

This case study uses VR as a speculative design tool to explore how Deaf people might interact with a sign-language personal assistant, staged as a Wizard-of-Oz pilot in which a hidden operator plays the system. The setup let the researchers elicit concrete design requirements directly from potential users. It demonstrates the promise of VR as a practical requirements-elicitation tool for communities whose needs mainstream voice assistants overlook.
